PP Drums Cajón Ideal for acoustic gigs or jam sessions where a full kit would be too excessive, the Cajón's (pronounced ca-hon) origins hark back to nineteenth-century South America, where it became a major part of Afro-Cuban dance music. The player sits astride the Cajón, and strikes and slaps at the back and sides with his or her hands to create different percussive sounds. Tilting the box at an angle while playing will also change the tone and timbre, while interior snares add extra 'snap' effects. Cajón with carry bag Natural wood Cajón with snares and soundhole rosette. Padded carry bag inc. 30(w) x 31(d) x 49(h) cm.
