Village Music Returns - In Store & Online


Items bought in-store at Village Music can be returned with original receipt for credit note or, where possible, exchange within 28 days of purchase.*

Unfortunately, due to hygiene reasons Village Music cannot accept items that come into contact with eyes, ears, mouth, or nose for return, unless they are faulty. This includes items such as:

Microphones, headphones, harmonicas, whistles, brass and woodwind instruments, reeds, or any other orally played instruments/ accessories.

Special orders, personalised or customised items also cannot be returned unless faulty.

Returning Your Purchase In-Store.

To return your purchase you must provide your original receipt, and items must be unopened, unused, and include all original packaging undamaged, plus any and all original contents ie. Instruction manuals, power adapters, warranty slip, memory cards, cables etc, and must be fit for resale.

Items returned without original receipt, or are missing parts, user manuals, or accessories, or that show signs of use, are not viable for return unless faulty.

Examples of things considered signs of use are:
Opened cellophane, torn or missing protective film, finger marks, smudges, scratches, dents, bumps etc.

All new items sold by Village Music are covered with at least 1 year’s manufacturer’s warranty. Some manufacturers do offer an extended warranty as standard. Please see the manufacturer’s website for further details.

Accidental/ user damage is not covered by warranty.

Any items that fault within the manufacturer’s warranty period will be fixed or replaced free of charge by the manufacturer – typically within 3-4 weeks of return.

Second Hand Purchases.

Second hand items are covered by a 3 month warranty provided by Village Music.
Accidental/ user damage is not covered.

This policy is in addition to your consumer rights.


If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with your purchase please return it to us in an unused and re-saleable condition within 14 working days of receipt and we will refund the purchase price. We are unable to pay for return postage costs unless goods are faulty. We recommend that if items are returned a Certificate of Postage is obtained as goods remain your responsibility until received by Village Music.

Please Note: You should contact us by telephone or email before returning any goods and you must also contact us within 48 hours of receipt. Failure to do so will confirm acceptance of goods being received in a satisfactory and fit for purpose condition.

To ensure fast processing of your return and any refund due, please enclose a copy of your original invoice or packing slip.
In the unlikely event that goods arrive faulty or damaged, please inform us immediately so that we can replace or repair them in accordance with your statutory rights. To alleviate doubt we ask that you retain the faulty or damaged item and may ask for you to return it to us or provide proof of damage. Should you require any assistance please contact us on 01355-244562. We are not able to accept returns of some items or in certain circumstances, please contact us for specific information regarding this.
